Kade gave me the BIGGEST SCARE EVER!!! He locked himself in the car! It happened on a day that was not normal...as these things happen on days that are abnormal. To start off the day, Rocky went to leave for work and his car wouldn't start...long story short, he took my car, I drove my mom to work so I could have her car to take him to swim. Well, anytime things aren't typical, like driving someone else's vehicle and the routine of how we get in and out of the car was changed, is when this happened. Anyway, luckly the next door neighbors were outside and they had a phone that I could call 911 (as my phone was locked in the car too!) and get my son out of the burning hot car in the middle of summer! From the time he was locked in to the time he got out was a total of 5 minutes and let me tell you.... those were scary five minutes. We just found out the previous weekend of a little girl we know, that is Kade's age, pass away because she was left in the car. So, on top of me constantly thinking about this family, then having my son lock himself in the car, and then my prego hormones going crazy, as I am dripping with sweat, my relief came when I heard the firetruck on their way! Kade, during this whole time is completely fine and oblivious to anything, just looking around. He had his sippy with him, however he decided to throw it on the ground inside the car. When they actually got him out of the car, I was amazed how sweaty he was ONLY after five minutes! This is how Kade got his hat, he also got a sticker, and ironically enought he had a firetruck on his shirt that day. Anyway, please please please when things aren't like a typical day, slow down and make sure your baby is not in the car...especially in the crazy hot heat of Phoenix!

We had to say "Until we meet again..." to our best friends, Lucy & Lillie at the beginning of June. Their family got a job offer and have moved to Nebraska. So, ever since then, everything I see...movies, signs, people on the radio, have been talking about Nebraska CornHuskers! Isn't that funny how that works.

I totally locked Parker in the car, but it was in December- so it was a little less frightening. Your boy is getting so big!
That is such a scary story! I'm always so paranoid about leaving Liam somewhere. How awful. But glad you got it taken care of so soon.
